Housing Repairs Programme

In the last five years, Te Tumu Kainga have used Reserves and Trust annual income to provide Grant Funding to assist whānau Māori by initiating repairs to homes.

Repairs have been carried out on 186 of homes across Far North, East Coast, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki/Manawatu and the Kaingaroa township in Taupō. This mahi has improved living conditions of 186 families, leading to improved general Health and Education outcomes to all Whānau assisted.

In the Trust’s repair program, to date, we have worked with Te Puni Kokiri, Ngāti Toa, and trusts under Te Tumu Paeroa administration.

Māori Housing Network Repairs

This programme of work has enabled 195 whare to be repaired, delivering positive outcomes for 195 Māori whānau.

Delivering positive outcomes for Māori whānau

The Māori housing repairs programme is just part of the work we do to support Māori whānau.

We work with our housing partners across Aotearoa to invest in housing projects and pathway to ownership programmes to help Māori to access healthy, affordable housing.
